Keepers of the Flame
/
There are a lot of spiritual defeats that happens in the lives of believers every day because of the lack of knowledge. The lack of movement, understanding and engaging in spiritual warfare makes most Christians sitting ducks. This has a lot to do with the church being lukewarm. The truth about hardships is that they are designed with our overall purpose in mind. God looks at the purpose of Him creating us and moves us into seasons and times of His scheduling, through our free will He gets us each to our personal promise lands. Those personal promise lands are the purposes He has placed in us for the world to see. It’s the opening of the doors of our lives that we mirror His image and in doing so we unlock His promises for us. After the breaking process is complete, we are put on display to show forth the glory of the Highest. After the breaking we are found faithful. It is this season of life that Father wants us all to enter into for in doing so destinies are fulfilled.
During this season we may not understand the pain or the process of the fire but if we will allow Him, we will come forth and produce in the earth all that was meant to be brought forth through us. The fire is not designed to kill us but to make us stronger. Make us a more purified people. To make us look like our Father. The fire comes to cleanse us that we are able to stand in our armor against the wiles of the enemy. In the fire the keeper is born and brought forth. It is a long and painful process, but the rewards outweigh the pain.
Keepers of the flame are children of the Highest that allows the flow of Holy Spirit to operate in their lives. When we become Christians, we begin an amazing journey with Father. This journey usually starts out with us thinking we are pursuing Him, only to find the opposite is true. He draws us to Him, and we realize we need a Savior as we accept Him, we begin to grow and mature in Christ. The first stage of growth is where we seek Him for relief of the issues, we see that hinders us. In this infancy stage we’re known as babes in Christ. All believers start out as babes and on the milk of the word. The second stage is where He makes known to us what He sees that we should have relief from. This maturing takes place just as a babe would stop spitting up milk but keep it down. Here we come to the cliff, the cliff is a choice to continue forward with our leap of faith that He is faithful to catch us. Those of us that leap finds Him more and more faithful every day. We understand there is no going back. We realize we no longer want the things we started out in pursuit of, but we instead want Him, His Love, presence, and power.
Many people become comfortable at the cliff the things they saw hindering their lives are removed and they are satisfied. They never allow Him to remove the things He sees that hinder their lives from becoming all He created them to be. Being comfortable makes an easy target. Father then has to allow some storm to shake those that want jump so that they begin to move out of harms way when the enemy approaches them. Comfortable people just don’t move its true in the physical and the spirit as well. It takes the devastation of a storm to make one move. They come close to the edge and as the enemy approaches they scream out for mercy never leaping in faith. The cliff is a great divide between the infants and the mature ones that can hold down their milk. The cliff prepares the babes on milk for the fiery trials of life and those fiery trials in turn prepares them to grow mature in the word no longer needing the milk of the word but the meat of it.
After the fiery trials of life, the believer has a spiritual fire. This fire is the presence of Holy Spirit transforming them into the image of Christ. This transformation takes the child of the Most High on a new journey to becoming the keeper of the flame. After all the pain of the fire we must transition ourselves to keep the fire burning daily. We must continue to allow Holy Spirit to burn in us that His passion would bring about the power of God in us. One thing we as believers don’t want to happen is to have the fire of God go out in our lives after all we have been through so much to get it. So how do we keep the fire going? How do we become the keeper of His flame in us? In part two we will discuss four areas every believer should work on daily to keep the flame alive in them. This flame brings us into the manifestation of His promises for our lives. It gives us power over our flesh. It gives us strength to stand against the powers of darkness, heal the sick and raise the dead. The flame allows us through proper leadership to be led into all that Father has for us to become.
