Helpmeets

When we do what we are created to do we flow in unison everything is easier even in its difficult times we get through it faster and come out better for it. When we do what we want to do instead we are in a constant struggle. We are looking for a peace and joy that we can’t seem to find. We are looking for help from the Lord that we don’t seem to see. It leads us to this confusing place of asking, becoming desperate and eventually begging God to bless our mess. All while remaining blind to everything happening around us, to us, for us and through us.

The Most High created women to have children there are only two genders male and female and it requires the two to create new life. Women should be able to freely embrace motherhood. Adam and Eve were charged to multiply and replenish the earth. Bringing forth children is a gift from the Most High when done correctly in the confines of marriage. Women are to rule in agreement with their husbands, guiding their households, while helping to keep order. Instead of focusing on what scripture says a woman should be doing I like to focus on what it says she shouldn’t be doing . The list is a lot shorter than you think.

One she shouldn’t be unrighteous or double minded, Mark 12:29-31 and James 1:5-8.  Two she shouldn’t usurp authority over a man this refers to female leadership over men as far as pastoring a church itself.  And thirdly, she shouldn’t speak death Prov.18:21. A woman shouldn’t speak ill of her husband, children or her own household. She shouldn’t be about telling others what is happening behind closed doors with her man especially anything of a sexual nature. Some sisters be talking about how good or bad he is and that sister she talking to is making mental notes and painting herself a picture of being with him.

In the same way after working all day your too tired to cook, clean or do laundry so is a man. Some women can handle more than others, but we should never search out a man as a helpmeet. A man should be the provider and the woman the helpmeet. She should help him in accomplishing the goals he has for life. This will bring him the joy that the Most High tells a man he should have as his portion under the sun Eccl. 9:9

Some women can be business owners we see this in Prov. 31, but we also see that she is managing every area of her life well. She is not coming up short in any area. Most woman struggle to let go of the power society has given them and I’m convince this is why they are looking for a man to be a helpmeet. We should not be looking for a man firstly (he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth favor of the Lord) however when being found we shouldn’t be hopeful that he will come into our life and help us reach our goals. There are exceptions to this like if you share common goals  for a business idea, I may want to design shoes and he may want to be a shoemaker well then we compliment one another in our goals.

Women have got to have understanding that their created to handle more than a man as far as multi-tasking just as a man is created to handle more stress than a woman. Regardless of the situation if we truly love the Lord like we say we do we will look for ways to do what He has created us for. Let us not allow ourselves to look at our mates wickedly or have wrong thoughts all because we may earn more money than they do. Finally let us not grow weary in well doing for we will reap if we faint not. Coming back to the Father’s purpose and plans might be more or less challenging for some of us, but it can be done with the right support.
