Being Corrected

In Ecclesiastes 9:8 we are instructed to keep our garments white always. A part of keeping that garment white is not associating with darkness even if it is related to us and comes with a title. We must rightly divide the word of truth and live accordingly. We are taught in the Word how to handle just about everything you can think of that would happen in life. Scripture is clear there are no gray areas. We usually make gray areas, so we are free to sin. I once heard a wise man say if you have to ask if you can do it then you shouldn't be doing it. I think those are great words to keep us grounded in righteousness.

I recently had an experience that allowed me to understand just how deceived the system has so many of us. You know you can have a bird in a cage long enough it will give up trying to escape the cage. One day you leave the door open and it isn't interested in trying to leave any more. The birds mind has been caged and it would take a lot to undo what's been done. We are similar to that bird. The system taught us to think the way they wanted us to and we do it and train our children up to do it also.

I was recently planning a gender reveal party for a family member. I got so excited and worked up. This family member has an issue with their mouth and has caused some level of drama with the entire family. I decided to use my influence with the family to get everyone together for her. I knew they would come to support me if nothing else. The Most High began to deal with me and allowed me to see just how dysfunctional we have been taught to be. This young girl is unmarried and pregnant. Here we are all ready to celebrate with her about the new baby coming into our family. The Most High asked me why are we celebrating her sin. We are not to call ourselves His righteous ones and willingly stay ignorant. He knew it didn't even dawn on me to think about it so He asked. How great is that? When I understood what He was saying to me I repented and asked Him how do I back out of it seeing how He has been working with me about keeping my word I felt trapped. He being so merciful showed me another beautiful lesson.

There was a simple misunderstanding that could have easily been cleared up with respect, the right questions. However a lack of respect and a very big mouth shut everything down. She allowed her mouth to write a check her butt couldn't cash. Long story short she calls me and says everything is off. Well the Most High blessed me. I was able to get most of my money back. The younger sister purchased some items that was going to be given later at the shower. We were keeping the gifts until then and they had already gone past the return date. I had no idea that the Most High was dealing with my 16 year old that purchased 2 gifts for about $150 or so.

Today after church we get home and the 16 year old is texting the pregnant one. When again she opens wide her mouth to her own destruction. Proverbs 14 tells us that every wise woman buildeth her house: BUT the foolish plucketh it down with her own hands. After making some really nasty comments to the little sister my 16 year old comes to me and tells me what’s happening. You know how good and merciful of a good Father we have right? He again saves the day. While at church today one of the deacons was thanking members for being at his baby shower. He and his wife are due in about a week. There are other women there that are pregnant also and due soon. Upon talking and realizing that the Most High was asking her why is she buying something for someone in sin we have come to the conclusion to give the gifts to someone at church that can use it.

I tell my children all the time everything we buy is not always for what we think we buying it for. An example those clothes in the closet that you never have worn with the tags still on them they were bought by you for the person you will give them to after they have spent time in your closet as storage until you meet that one they belong to. I am amazed at His goodness. The bible is the truest book you will ever have the pleasure of reading, no wonder evil forces are now trying to discredit it. My lesson in this also was to be more attentive of how I use my influence with others. Well until the next time around I hope you enjoyed the read. Blessings to you always!
