Serving at His Feet

What do walking, running and jumping all have in common?  Your legs. Your legs create a stable foundation for the rest of your body’s support. There are even upper body movements such as reaching overhead and throwing that rely on the strength of the lower body.

A woman’s strength comes from the love she receives from the Most High, her husband and children. While a man’s strength comes from the respect he gets from his wife and children. As well as fulfilling the responsibilities the Most High has given him. The Most High has created the woman to help the man stand in all He has assigned to him and once she understands the vision for his life, she is truly satisfied in seeing him fulfill his potential.

The man that walks in righteousness searches out  a helpmeet that will inspire and encourage  him to do all that the Most High has created him for. She is a tool in the hands of the Most High used to help bring about the creators will in man’s life. This is the reason it is so important for a woman to understand the vision and serve at her husband’s feet. Serving at his feet is true submission, this is the strength of her position to strengthen his legs that he not only serves the Most High but also her in return. To see him flourish allows her to walk in the full strength and beauty of her feminine energy.

Serving at his feet requires confidence, loyalty, communication and a warrior mindset. A woman must be confident in the boundaries he has set for the family. The lack of confidence will lead to her questioning his ability to lead and intentions, which is disrespectful. Loyalty is given because of the depth of intimacy between the two and trust. You can’t be loyal to anyone without trust. Neither will a woman follow a man she doesn’t trust, love or respect. Both must understand the power of silence. Never speak out of anger or disappointment, it will only lead to a situation where you wish you could take back what you said. And a warrior mindset looks like the lioness. She goes out to hunt and take down yet he eats first, why? Hierarchy, he’s bigger, more dominant and protector of the pride(family). She’s loyal and confident that he will protect her, keep her and above all else lay down his life for the family if need be. Just as she rests her head under his head so should a woman rest her head on her husband’s knee as she sits and serve at his feet.

His feet must be planted in wisdom as he stands on the foundation of Christ. For the head of every man is Christ, the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is the Most High. If a woman is unsubmissive, she is unsubmissive to the Most High first. She is rebellious and will not humble herself for her man because she refuses to humble herself for her savior and creator. As a woman we choose to humble ourself and operate in our true power which is a place of peace and joy. This position at his feet allows us to see the attacks of the enemy as he attempts to take the man’s legs from under him.

She rises to pray and goes before the Most High as the warrior she is, to fight on his behalf. Serving at his feet shows that she is not just willing to humble herself to the Most High but that she understands her assignment and is humbling herself to her man’s authority in her life because she is humble before the Lord. She not only understands the assignment, but she agrees to the vision he has for their lives and is willing to have his back in all they do to see it come to pass. She is willing to be the lookout that he needs so that he is able to keep the family rooted in Christ.

Sitting and serving at his feet puts you in position to not only receive his love but to have it forever. And as we all know there is nothing a woman in love can’t get done with the Lord on her side. Just as there is nothing a man can’t get done with the respect of his woman and the Lord on his side.

When we walk in unity with one mindset willing to serve one another as the Most High truly intended it to be we are in sync with the heavens and nothing will be to hard for us to get through together.
