Obedience

When God tells you to do something its more for your own benefit than anybody else’s. The other day Father told me to stop trying to walk in other people’s shoes, walk in your own. Be you no one can be better or worse than you if you simply be you because you’re the only you there is. It means you are the best you. There’s no need to compete or compare our walk or path with others we must walk the path that’s right for us and that’s the one the Most High has designed for us.

I love how He lovingly corrects me in these times. I see so many people trying to measure up to someone they admire or have idolized. When Christ is the one to admire. He walked out Fathers plans perfectly without sinning or failing and that’s what we should be after. We should seek to look like Him. So, many people are wanting to be like another flawed being so badly that they don’t realize they have taken their eyes off of the true prize eternity with Him.

Many people want to pray like pastor, preach like elder and prophecy like prophetess. That is desiring the gifts more than the giver of gifts and that’s wrong. I’m reminded of the Mother’s singing Jesus I want to be like You oh Lord I want to be just like You. Not I want to be like Pastor, elder prophetess. There is nothing wrong with us being encouraged by someone else’s actions and lifestyle for the betterment of our lives, but we get off course when we begin trying to get to where they are. This is simply because where they are might not be where Father is taking us.

My question to Him then was how do I know when and if I’m on someone else path? He said things become overwhelmingly difficult for you. I’ve had these moments I’m sure you have also where life just seems to fall apart out of nowhere. I’m quite sure this is the difficulty He’s speaking of If we would be faithful to the plans, He has for our life things would be much easier. I’m not saying hardship wouldn’t come upon us. I am saying we’d do better with Him guiding us through it than to be alone fighting the wind on someone else path.
