Ignoring the Answer
/Christ says I stand at the door and knock. How many of us are refusing to open the door for the answer to all our prayers? We ask, we beg, we pray, and we start all over again with asking which leads to crying out. We ask for so much and then we refuse the answer.
Recently I was urged to speak with someone about a job. I was asked specifically to give them information about the company that I work for. I went to this person’s door and rang the doorbell and the whole house got silent as you could hear the doorbell noise run loudly throughout the house. I waited and waited and waited some more and no answer. This situation made me wonder how many times God has sent an answer to the door, and we refused to open it.
I’ve been learning to be obedient as well as learning that when people accept or reject me that they are rejecting or accepting Christ. I’ve been hearing more and more in my spirit you did what I asked you to do. Now shake the dust from your feet and do not worry. God doesn’t want you to feel rejected if someone rejects the message, He uses you to send to them. If they don’t accept Him, it has nothing to do with you. You are simply the vessel He is using to deliver a message. Therefore, it’s important to understand and not shoot the messenger. You never know who God is using to deliver what to you. We can’t afford to be so caught up with who He is using, why He chose them or what they look like for that matter.
